The export volume of proprietary brands surged by 140% year-on-year, and GAC Group's automobile sales reached 127,300 units in May.
With the accelerated global rollout of its systematic overseas expansion strategy, GAC Group's international business has transitioned from "sporadic breakthroughs" to a phase of "scalable growth." From January to May, the cumulative export volume of its proprietary brands approached 100,000 vehicles, marking a 135% year-on-year increase. Notably, export volume in May alone surged 140% year-on-year to 28,386 units, with growth rates accelerating month by month since January, reflecting the sustained rise in recognition of GAC's products in overseas markets.
Proprietary brand sales up 32.48% year-on-year; joint ventures accelerating launch of localized products
In May this year, GAC Group's proprietary brands—including Trumpchi, Hyper, and Aion—recorded sales of 55,434 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 32.48%.
GAC Aion continued the momentum of monthly sales growth exceeding 60% since March, with May sales reaching 31,946 vehicles, up 74.76% year-on-year. Cumulative sales from January to May reached 144,100 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 62.28%. Among these, the Aion Y consistently exceeded 10,000 units in monthly sales, becoming a best-selling model in the A-class new energy SUV segment. The Aion N60, which brings intelligent driving assistance features down to the 100,000 RMB price tier, began deliveries in mid-May. Meanwhile, the premium sports SUV Hyper S600, equipped with LiDAR as standard and priced in the 200,000 RMB range, is now available for pre-sale.
GAC Trumpchi recorded cumulative sales of over 136,400 vehicles from January to May, a year-on-year increase of 16.15%. Among them, May sales reached 23,488 vehicles, up 12.86% month-on-month. The MPV series recorded sales of 10,584 vehicles in May, an increase of 16.18% year-on-year, with the M8 series selling 7,563 vehicles, up 35.76% year-on-year. Meanwhile, two MPV models—the 2026 M6 MAX and the Trumpchi Vision M8 PHEV L—both launched or became available for pre-order in May. In addition, the first GAC Trumpchi User Conference & MPV Night will be held in Hangzhou on June 11, where the Trumpchi Vision M8 PHEV L and the all-new generation Trumpchi Vision E8 PHEV will be officially launched.
The two joint venture brands also achieved a month-on-month increase of 15.68% in May by accelerating the launch of localized products. GAC Toyota recorded May sales of 62,200 vehicles, a 10.09% increase month-on-month, with cumulative sales from January to May reaching 291,600 vehicles, up 6.58% year-on-year. The Bozhi brand continued its strong momentum, selling over 10,000 vehicles in May, a year-on-year increase of 100.09%. Among them, the 2026 Bozhi 3X officially hit the market in early May, featuring comprehensive upgrades in intelligent experience and practical configurations.
GAC Honda saw a sharp month-on-month sales increase of 77.61% in May. The all-new Haoying, which is Honda's first model equipped with an intelligent cloud-based vehicle system jointly developed with Huawei Cloud, has been freshly launched and achieved terminal sales of 4,402 units in May, a 38.7% increase month-on-month.

As its systematic overseas expansion strategy continues to advance, GAC has been leading in multiple global markets since the beginning of this year. After ranking first and second in electric vehicle sales in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively in April, GAC recorded a 123% year-on-year increase in terminal sales in the Asia-Pacific region in May, with Hong Kong and Thailand surging 293% and 129% respectively. GAC has also entered Pakistan with models including the Hyper HT, Aion V, and Aion UT, further expanding its presence in the South Asian market.
