Dongfeng Fengxing showcases FRIDAY and Xinghai V9 at the Bangkok International Auto Show
On March 23rd, Dongfeng Fengxing unveiled its new energy SUV FRIDAY and core new energy model Xinghai V9 at the 47th Bangkok International Auto Show. Under the theme of "FOR FAMILY FORWARD", showcase its comprehensive technology system covering modular platforms, new energy technologies, and intelligent technologies to the Southeast Asian market
The two models unveiled this time meet the needs of Thai users. FRIDAY is equipped with extended range power, with a pure electric range of over 200km, effectively alleviating the pain point of insufficient local charging facilities; The ADAS intelligent assisted driving system has been localized and tuned to suit Thai driving habits, with enhanced water tightness and wading capabilities to meet the demands of the tropical rainy season. The Xinghai V9 combines a wide cabin with emotional intelligent configuration to create a mobile space as a carrier for family emotional communication. Two models cover the SUV and MPV sub markets, meeting the full scenario travel needs of Thai users.
Xie Jiasheng, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Import and Export Company, stated that Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor was established in 1954. As an important strategic base of Dongfeng Group in the south, it has a development history of 72 years and a car manufacturing accumulation of 57 years. In 2025, it will release the "Wind and Wind Dual Engine" overseas strategy, with the core being to move from product export to system export, and from short-term growth to long-term deep cultivation.
Data shows that by 2025, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's annual exports will exceed 53000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of nearly 30%; There are 9 overseas intelligent factories, nearly 300 sales and service networks, and business coverage in more than 120 countries and regions.
In order to deeply cultivate the Thai market, the EMA modular platform covers three major vehicle series: SUV, MPV, and sedan, and is compatible with various power sources such as pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended range. Its models have won the ASEAN-NCAP five-star certification, and the body is made of over 70% high-strength steel, providing underlying support for safety. The Mach hybrid engine has a thermal efficiency of 45.18%, and can be charged from 30% to 80% in 14 minutes on an 800V high-voltage platform. The armored battery has passed over 500 rigorous tests.
